Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year lovely bloglanders! :)

I am absolutely knackered!!

I had a fab Christmas but it was a tad busy... we had family stay for most of the week and had other visitors or went visiting every day! Lovely to have so many close friends and family but it is a bit tiring!
The build up took took me ages too; I did dinner for 5 of us and it took a while to buy and wrap all the presents (I do get very spoilt in return... shallow I know but boy do I love presents!!).

So I am a very rare one in that I love January... Peace and quiet and time to rest! :D

Feeling Festive....

After a very stressful couple of months a rest is not available so as the old saying goes 'a change is as good as a rest' so I have new hair... shorter and red!

Howdy strangers... did you know I was a model for the day?

Hello lovely blog inhabitants,

Sorry I've been a bit quiet. Sadly we had a bereavement in the family, that, combined with some illness and a knackered router have left me with little enthusiasm or ability to blog... but today over the last couple of weeks something exciting has been occurring.

Back in August I put in a post that I had took part in a photo shoot. Well last week hubby and I went to the launch of the 'Things and Ink' magazine.

'Things and Ink is a new style of tattoo magazine that embraces female tattoo culture. The aim of the magazine is to give tattoos more context, to give the point of view of not only the tattoo artist, but the wearer, too. Tattoos should be viewed where they sit on the body and the story behind them should be told. Things and Ink will satisfy the reader’s curiosity and tell the intimate stories. Things and Ink will be pretty and arty and shatter tattoo myths. It will welcome collectors and tattoo virgins alike.'

I am in the first edition in a feature on tattooed brides. Here's the pics... I actually like some pics of me!! :D

These fab images are by Laura Babb who specialises in quirky wedding photography ... so future brides (and grooms!) def check her out!!

To make up for my neglect I am currently putting together a little give away! I have been blogging about a year now and have reached 100 followers (which made me very happy - cheers lovelies!) so time to give something back!!

Will put up details asap!

Knitted bows on shoes and Bouffants!!

Yesterday I attempted  a 60s Bouffant - the picture doesn't really do it justice. I had quite a lot of height in the back that doesn't really show.. My curls weren't very good as I forgot to put setting lotion in and did rather lazy pin curls. I will try harder next time! :)

Hair Inspiration! :)

Today I am wearing these AMAZEBALLS shoes from irregular choice. I have had a few things going on of late which have left me feeling a bit down in the dumps... Hubby surprised me with these to cheer me up!

He's rubbish at cleaning and cooking but he's a sweetie!! ;)

Thats a knitted bow on the front!! :D

Have a lovely weekend all!!

My best Gizzi Erskine impression... dinner for the girls...

Two of my very good friends had birthdays last week so on Friday I did a birthday dinner for 7 of us...

Starter

Antipasti platter including tomatoes with mozzarella and basil

Main
Chicken stuffed with garlic butter and wrapped in parma ham
Haloumi for the veggie
Dauphinoise Potatoes
Chipped potatoes cooked in rosemary
carrots and runner beans

We are now enjoying a lazy Sunday after a very very busy weekend! #knackered

Introducing Audrey...

I have an awesome new bike... her name is Audrey!

She is a hybrid. A little bit sit up and beg style but with suspension and mountain bike style wheels and lots of gears. Style and comfort.

I live in the countryside and up a big ol' hill so an old bike wasn't an option. Audrey has the best of both for me!!

I also have some lovely red cherry blossom panniers but Hubby hasn't got round to fixing the rack on yet!

Can't wait to go for a proper ride tomorrow!

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

XOXO
