I am sorry I have been absent of late. I was stressing about writing the blog and thought it was daft... it's supposed to be fun. Us women and our guilt complexes!!!
So I decided to take a break until after my wedding.
But now I am pleased to announce I am officially MRS CHRISTIE!!! :D (As of 28.07.12).
I have stolen my friends instagram photos for a quick glimpse to decorate this post... I have loads to catch up on!
I apologise now for the hundreds of photos that are going to end up coming your way... you are going to be so sick of hearing about my wedding!!
I had such an amazing day, I could not have asked for more.
I finally have a house free of family and guests and am going to enjoy a much needed catch up of all your blogs!
Very glad to be back lovelies!

There was a Rockabilly girl who had a little curl...
I am in that awkward phase of growing out a fringe...
Still no word on my job interview... its currently embroiled in politics *SIGH* so I am not sure when I will hear their decision. Fingers are still crossed but confidence is sliding...
Better news is wedding plans are going well. My bridesmaids are going to look so amazing!! :D
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend

bags with bamboo handles are the best...
Phew I've been a busy bee; Work and weddings; my fella went on stag do and came back with no hair, eyebrows or voice; lots of rain; trying to plant things in said rain; job interview today for a proper promotion, fingers crossed; cleaning; poorly dog; found a dog for my parents to re home; not very good hair due to said rain.; putting a little prize together ready for my first giveaway; etc etc....
And in amongst all that this little beauty arrived from eBay. It wasn't a very good photo or description so I took a gamble; the eBay gods were smiling, I LOVE it!! And it was an absolute bargain!
Fingers crossed for that job, then I'll have more money for dresses - hehe!! :)

Sunshine on a rainy day...
Hello!!
So I have been a little down in the dumps. Too much work and not enough play at the minute, topped off with lots of grey wet days and a stomach bug.
So this weekend I injected a little sunshine into my life...
Dress: 1950's shirtwaister from eBay. This is a lovely Orange, Yellow and Grey check. Back to my bad photography as my fella was on his stag do (he now has no hair, eyebrows or voice!!)
Fur trimmed rain boots - Jumble sale
Floral belt: New Look
Necklaces - Jumble sale
Here's a better shot of the pattern. I am so in love with this dress! So summery and comfortable. I struggle to get shirtwaisters that are broad enough in the back but small enough in the waist.
Necklaces were 50p each from jumble sale, I may have bought a few hehe!
Little poodle was a present from my lovely mum!
Here is my new (for me, not quite sure of age) rain boots. They are brown but look darker in this pic. They have a lovely fur trim; practical and pretty! :) £3 from jumble sale. I could not pay fast enough. I have been looking for posh rain boots for soooo long!!
Well here's a little mug shot.
I had forgotten that my lovely friend who is now a carer had trained to be a hairdresser originally. In exchange for some Mexican grub she cut some layers in my hair and I have nice curls again! :) I couldn't quite pluck up the courage to cut them myself.
Here's me then having to cover up to go and face gale force winds and rain!
Headscarf: Vintage from eBay
Coat: Vintage from eBay
And here's a lovely tablecloth and crochet mat I got from jumble sale. Topped off with summery Elvis mats and yellow roses.
So I had a little colour in a very grey weekend.
Hope you are all well! Welcome new followers, there have been a few lately so ahoy, welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy my ramblings and poor photography, haha!

A little fruity with pink flowers in my hair!!
I didn't have to go to work today!! :)
Me and my fella ran some errands and had lunch by the river. The sun was out for most of the day. All in all a very lovely day.
Here's what I wore....
Navy trousers, fruity/flowery top, wicker bag, bangles and hair flowers all from charity/thrift shop.
Shoes; navy wedges - Next Sale.
Leopard print Cats eye sunglasses - GG's Pinup Couture
I also have on a sparkly grape brooch - I'll get a pic next time!
That's Bluebell in the background - still not properly up and running but getting there!

Wedding Bunting part 1....
Saturday Night the girls came over. I gave them wine and homemade pizza... they helped me cut bunting triangles. Lots more to cut and now a lot of sewing to do!!!
Here is a little sneak peek....
No outfit posts, I have spent most of the time in slob wear for more gardening or in comfy trousers and big 80s jumpers!
Hope you had a lovely weekend!

How much chocolate did you eat??
I have just had a very tough Zumba session to make up for all the naughty treats I had at the weekend! :) I am not really a chocolate kind of girl (yes we do exist!!!) but I made up for it with plenty of pringles, pub lunches, wine and G&T's! :)
I hope you all had a great weekend! :)
I spent a lot of the weekend in slob gear as we have been doing a lot in the garden in between rain showers... but that's for another blog post. On Sunday however we did go for lovely pub grub and then went out with friends in the evening. These shots are a slight improvement on my usual dodgy in the mirror shots. My fella has a new phone with a good camera on it so is now my official photographer... I am not sure how long it will last we do tend to argue about what makes a good shot!!
I promise I am a very happy cheerful lady despite my miserable face in these shots!
Lunchtime Outfit;
Dress - Vintage from eBay
Cardigan - hmm can't remember ... a sale somewhere... maybe Next
Bag - Vintage from charity shop
Shoes - poetic license (£10 brand new from eBay - the ebay gods were smiling on me that day!!)
I also have my 'I love Gardening' dangle pin on
You can't see too clearly but I have vintage black and red chiffon scarves wound together and tied in my hair topped off with a cherry clip - all eBay!
Evening Outfit;
Dress - eBay shop but can't remember who
Shoes - a gift - they are from New look
Bag (this has a cute fish on the front - not such a good photographer is he?! :P ) - eBay
Hair is the same.
We also got a 'new' (for us - actually a freebie from friends) sofa! It's a bit too comfy, we should have got more done than we did but it is so snuggly and we fit on with all three dogs. The dogs are very pleased with it!
(See that hideous stack of plastic bags on the left; they aren't usually there but they contain loads of beautiful vintage crockery and glassware ready for my wedding day - eeep exciting!!)
Off to enjoy more time on said sofa!
