Hello lovely blog inhabitants,
Sorry I've been a bit quiet. Sadly we had a bereavement in the family, that, combined with some illness and a knackered router have left me with little enthusiasm or ability to blog... but today over the last couple of weeks something exciting has been occurring.
Back in August I put in a post that I had took part in a photo shoot. Well last week hubby and I went to the launch of the 'Things and Ink' magazine.
'Things and Ink is a new style of tattoo magazine that embraces female tattoo culture. The aim of the magazine is to give tattoos more context, to give the point of view of not only the tattoo artist, but the wearer, too. Tattoos should be viewed where they sit on the body and the story behind them should be told. Things and Ink will satisfy the reader’s curiosity and tell the intimate stories. Things and Ink will be pretty and arty and shatter tattoo myths. It will welcome collectors and tattoo virgins alike.'
I am in the first edition in a feature on tattooed brides. Here's the pics... I actually like some pics of me!! :D
These fab images are by Laura Babb who specialises in quirky wedding photography ... so future brides (and grooms!) def check her out!!

To make up for my neglect I am currently putting together a little give away! I have been blogging about a year now and have reached 100 followers (which made me very happy - cheers lovelies!) so time to give something back!!
Will put up details asap!

Behind the wedding glamour....
There was a lot of boring unglamorous jobs....
My fella and his friend built our giant cakestand and I added mini bunting made from scraps of fabric from our big bunting.
We collected hundreds of bits of crockery ready for afternoon tea and it all had to be washed ... before and after the day!!!
Luckily we had some sunshine to doing the drying!! :D
I still found time for fancy hair... I am rather vain, I have to have a fancy barnet!!

Jumble sale plates + fella with steady hands and drill (wearing my crocs!!) + cheap ebay stand bits = pretty, unique, cheap as chips, cakestands, they work out about £1.50 each!!! :D

So before the wedding there was a hen do... or two... Part 2
Sorry another photo heavy post... I think the pictures speak for themselves!
Hen Do 1 was very chilled out... Hen Do 2 was a little wilder. Vintage bus into Oxford anyone?! :D
Warning: photos may contain willy straws!! :D
I was a happy hen, a super happy bride and now I am a very happy Mrs. I am a very lucky girl with wonderful friends and family who have made this amazing for me!!
My hubby ain't too bad either!! :)
XOXO

Hubby came to wave us off on the bus and bought us champagne... I knew there was a good reason for marrying him!!
I styled quite a lot of the girls hair! We had a fifties theme to honour my vintage dressing passion (made my life easy! :D )
My curly Lucille Ball inspired 'poodle do' survived the dancing very well!
