So I have expressed on this blog my general dislike for having my photo taken. Something I am trying to get over... I am generally body confident and happy with how I look and I encourage all friends, family, random people I meet to express themselves how they want to with clothes etc and feel equally confident! I am a very firm believer that we come in all shapes and sizes and this should be celebrated!! ... so why am I over critical of my own pics??
Anyways, being in the spotlight for the wedding has forced me to get over it a bit but then I put myself forward for a project involving a proper photo shoot and was selected to participate... I went to London and completed said photo shoot today. I am not allowed to give any details at this stage but of course I will bore you with the pics when they arrive!! ;)
I apologise for these pics my hair and make-up was a little dishevelled at this point!
I thoroughly enjoyed getting my make-up done by a professional and they left my hair as it was as they liked the way I had done it!! #smugface :D
The only downside of the day was the heat... boy was it hot hot hot! we are finally getting a bit of summer in the UK.
I couldn't wait to strip down to my lovely vintage 50s slip! 50p jumble sale bargain1
I also came home to my new radio!! Yay! Its just a cheap replica but its very cute. Its to leave on for our German Shepherd when we are out - she suffers from separation anxiety and tends to chew!
This little man has been enjoying the sun! :D
Hope you've all had a good day, my Mondays are not usually this good!

Rock a bye Roddy...
I have had a fab bank holiday weekend spending time with my Mum and Nan and we have done a whole lot of bargain hunting from charity shops, car boot sales and antique stores.
We have started getting things for my vintage/rockabilly style wedding next year... exciting stuff... but also managed to pick up a few bargains to enjoy now!
Rocking chair £3
Roddy loves it... it took him a minute to get used to the rocking motion when he jumped up!
Kidney shape side table.... this was on our friends parents stall and they gave it to me for free... but I felt bad and so gave them a £1 - how generous of me, lol!
My nan bought me the peacock vase.
Hope you have all had a lovely bank holiday if you're here in the UK and if not hope you had fab weekends all round!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...
So the snow we had here in the UK hit us quite hard (we are a bit wimpy when it comes to extreme weather, we are used to mild weather and rain, lol!) I moved house in April and now live up a BIG hill... it looked beautiful but we had to park cars at the bottom and walk up and down for a few days... phewee hard work!

Our garden...we have been diligently feeding the birds and we are very lucky because we live in a very rural, wooded area and we have been getting lots of visitors. We have seen lots of variety of tits and Finch's, a little robin, a nuthatch and even a woodpecker!! My very 'cool/macho' boyfriend (sorry fiance) has been at the window non-stop with the bird book! (It's quite adorable but don't tell him I said that! :P )

Out enjoying the snow... note only one dog (Roddy) came to play... Buddy ate a bit of snow then decided he would rather stay on the sofa!!
Hope you all had fun and were safe in the snow!!
xoxo
Also the chickens hate the bigger birds and chase them off (too greedy to share) so we get spoiled by lots of pretty little ones, often 15 or so at a time! We even saw a couple of little mice darting about in the ivy, we don't see them when there's no snow, too well hidden!
The chickens were not quite sure what to make of it all, but my lovely ladies have still been giving us eggs!! Good girls!!
